What is the purpose of the Bad Girls Club

We love the cattiness, we love the name-calling and of course we love all the drama but what is the ultimate purpose of the Bad Girls Club?

The Bad Girls Club is a reality television series that airs on Monday nights on  Oxygen at 9 p.m. It is currently on its sixth season and even though I love the show and have been watching it since the first season, I still can't comprehend how the show is helping to mold these "so-called bad girls" into better people.

Basically the show documents the lives of seven young women who have personal, behavioral, and psychological problems. The women must live together in a mansion for three months and must be able to adapt and respect each other's space but that is hardly ever the case, as there is a fight every episode.

The purpose of having these women on the show is to help them grow to be "normal" people in society but the show is not offering that at all to these women as it implies that bad behavior is justifiable. There is constant partying with unlimited booze, constant fighting and frequent promiscuity. How is the show helping these women to shy away from the things that make them "bad girls"? It is not, as there is no true guidance or counseling offered to assist these women. They are left alone to act out irrationally to boost their ratings and make a name for themselves.

The show is fun to watch but I think that some sort of rehabilitation program  needs to be implemented to showcase that these "bad girls" have overcome certain behavioral problems. They say once a good girl is gone bad, she's gone forever. Who said it can't be vice versa?
